Alicante Airport Information

Alicante airport is the main airport for the city of Alicante and for other destinations such as Benidorm, Denia, Calpe, Torrevieja and all the cities along the Costa Blanca. It is located 9km to the south of Alicante, around 80% of all passenger traffic at Alicante Airport comes from International flights, with the passengers from the UK, Holland and Germany being amongst the highest number of visitors.
There are ATM machines on each level of the terminal building, as well as currency exchange booths on levels P0 and P1. There is a post office located on level P-1. The airport has a pharmacy in Arrivals, open from 7:00 to 23:00. The airport has an excellent selection of cafés, restaurants and bars.
Alicante Airport in Spain (ALC) The new provisional zone for passenger processing (T2) has come into operation at Alicante Airport, providing passengers with a new boarding area that is more spacious and bright. At the moment, this area is accessed from the main terminal through a link module connecting the two buildings.
With the start-up of T2, Alicante Airport now has 4 more boarding gates, taking the overall number of boarding gates from 12 to 16. Moreover, the airport's operating capacity has increased by 22 percent, as its hourly operations have risen from 18 to 22.
Alicante Airport Guide There are all the services you need at Alicante Airport, from car hire, taxis, transfers to many Costa Blanca destinations, buses, parking, etc. Duty-free and regular shopping outlets are available. Products on offer include: cosmetics, sporting goods, delicatessen goods, clothing, toys, electronics, and there are several other stores with music, press and books available.
Four travel agencies and three tour operators have outlets in the airport to aid with any further travel plans. Those who require special assistance or wheelchairs should notify their airlines when booking their flight. Specially fitted toilets, ramps and lifts are located across the airport. Specially designated parking areas are available in the car park opposite the terminal.
You can have an overview of the city before arrival with the street map of Alicante. Airport and general information are available on arrival from the relevant desks (provided on levels P0 and P1 of the terminal building, and there is a tourist information booth on level P-1).

Alicante Airport Taxi The taxi stop is just outside the arrival terminal. They usually accommodate up to four passengers if there is enough room for your luggage. During the summer, they usually are very busy so you probably have to wait some time for one to become available unless you book your taxi in advance. The most popular destinations are:

Alicante Airport Long Term Parking If you live in Alicante and would like to leave your car for a long period of time at the airport, you might want to consider the long term parking companies located around the airport. Alicante Airport Check in Ticket sales and luggage check-in take place on the ground floor, while boarding for both domestic and international flights takes place on the terminal's first floor and in the new temporary passenger processing zone in T2, connected to the main building via walkway.
When you are flying from Alicante Airport you will notice that all the check in counters are located in the same area. The small airlines don´t have more than two check in desks so try to be there at least one and a half hour prior to your flight departure time.
